Hmmm, don't think this is a fair question. They are very different programs. Ventrillo being a chat program with a variety of channels you can select from depending on the server it is hosted on and Skype is an internet telephony program that allows calls over the Internet or to landline phones. As far as clarity goes I think they are very close. I have heard good and bad audio from both.
